I have now deposited on figshare my deck of slides from my presentation yesterday in Part B of the Lightning Talks on Day 1 of the LIS Bibliometrics 2021 conference (28 April 2021).

In this lightning talk I attempted to present a researcher-centred user experience with the Altmetric Explorer in the context of assessment requirements, and will focus on offering basic recommendations based on the challenges, limitations and opportunities that this tool’s interface and data. The talk attempted to prompt a renewed consideration of the role of altmetrics a decade after their formal inception, and to reinitate discussions about the ways they may fit (or don’t) current bibliometric and research assessment cultures.
